Policy, Information and Communications Graduate Scheme

London
, Graduate Placement

We are looking for sharp and forward-thinking individuals who can use their creativity and excellent communication skills to help us beat cancer sooner.

Policy, information and Communications is at the heart of the work we do. From prevention and diagnosis through to treatment and support, we work across the whole cancer patient pathway. To ensure our findings help everyone, we empower and influence those who can make a difference - be it the public, health care professionals, journalists or the government – to understand cancer and the progress we need to make to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. We continuously strive to prevent and diagnose cancer as early as possible and to ensure patients have access to the best treatments. Graduate opportunities at CRUK are truly unique. With a commercial strength equivalent to a FTSE 350 company, we’re currently ranked at number 2 in the Guardian UK 300 and are perfectly positioned to train the leaders and thinkers of the future.

As one of our Policy, Information and Communications graduates, you will have the opportunity to develop a diverse range of skills within this stream, working in an innovative environment, in business critical roles, across the 2-year programme. During your four placements you will have the opportunity to:

  • use your skills to keep cancer at the top of the political agenda
  • research and write for all our key audiences, including the public, patients, health care professionals and key opinions leaders
  • apply creativity and fresh ideas to ensure a well-rounded, innovative approach to our communications, shaping the way we interact with everyone.

To succeed as a graduate on our scheme you will have a passion for CRUK and an understanding of the work that the Policy, Information & Communications team do to drive our ambitions. You won’t be afraid to think big and try new ideas and you will always be looking to learn from the people around you. As a solutions focussed graduate, you will be able to show a consistently strong work ethic with experience of working in within policy or communications. We put graduates in challenging and exciting roles from the off, so we are heavily invested in your development so you can become a future leader and/or great ‘thinker’ at CRUK. You’ll be free to explore your potential and shape the future growth of the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research.

We’re committed to enabling our supporters and staff to help beat cancer sooner in any way they wish – meaning that no one day is the same. Every day we achieve extraordinary things by being sharp, brave and united in our work. If you think you can help us beat cancer sooner, then apply now!

Closing date: Sunday 3rd December, 23:55

At CRUK we value diversity and we’re committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone is able to be themselves and to reach their full potential. We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and cultures and believe that a diverse workforce will help us to beat cancer sooner.
